Asaba – The Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC) Indigenous Contractors Forum has congratulated Governor Sheriff Oborevwori on his emergence as the All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial candidate for the 2027 election.
Governor Oborevwori secured the APC governorship ticket following a decisive victory in the party’s primary election held on Thursday.
Announcing the result at the APC Secretariat in Asaba, the Chairman of the APC Governorship Primary Election Committee, Engr. Victor Abba, commended the peaceful atmosphere of the exercise and praised party members for displaying unity and maturity throughout the process.
In a congratulatory statement issued yesterday, the DESOPADEC Indigenous Contractors Forum described Governor Oborevwori’s victory as a clear demonstration of the massive confidence, trust, and support he enjoys among APC members and the people of Delta State.
The statement, signed by the Forum’s Chairman, Engr. Ogie Samson, and Secretary, Prince Charles Ebigbagha, noted that the governor’s impressive leadership style, developmental projects, and dedication to good governance have continued to inspire confidence across the state.
The forum further observed that Governor Oborevwori’s unopposed emergence in the primary reflects the strong unity and stability within the APC in Delta State.
It showered praises on party leaders, stakeholders, and members for reposing implicit faith in the governor’s leadership, assuring that he would not disappoint.
The group pledged continued support for the governor, promising to mobilise massively for his re-election and that of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 general elections.
“Your Excellency, on behalf of members of the DESOPADEC Indigenous Contractors Forum, I assure you of our continuous support for the renewal of your mandate and that of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027,” Engr. Ogie Samson stated.
The forum also expressed confidence that Governor Oborevwori would sustain the existing strong relationship with indigenous contractors both now and after his expected re-election in 2027.
